MAYBANK INTRODUCES WORLD'S FIRST PRECIOUS MOMENTS LIMITED
EDITION ELECTRONIC PREPAID CARDS

Re-usable and Collectible
Maybank introduces the Precious Moments Prepaid Card - the
world's first prepaid card designed with Precious Moments
characters. Maybank issued the Card with co-brand partner
EFusion, the brand mark holder for Precious Moments cards
in Singapore. This is the first in a series of limited-edition
special character cards to be launched by Maybank.
"The Precious Moments Prepaid Card is targeted at husbands
and boyfriends who would want to give their partners practical
and yet romantic gifts," said Ms Cynthia Liaw, Head,
Cards Business, Maybank in Singapore. The Maybank Precious
Moments Prepaid Card does not have any minimum age or salary
requirement, annual or maintenance fees.
"The first in the series of Precious Moments Prepaid
cards to be issued under the 'Love' theme, the 'Love One
Another' motif is a classic and highly popular design,"
says EFusion company director, Regina Choo. Other designs,
each depicting wedding, baby, and valentines will be issued
subsequently. The series of Precious Moments Prepaid cards
will appeal to Precious Moments fans, young executives,
students, and card collectors. Card sales for the entire
series is expected to exceed 20,000.
A preview sale on 16 July 2005 will be held for the 7,000
or so members of local Precious Moments Fan Club. The members
are mostly female working adults and students, ages ranging
from 12 years to 40 years old.
The Official launch for the cards is on 5 Aug 2005 in the
Maybank Tower foyer at Raffles place. During the event,
card purchases entitle the buyer to an instant lucky draw
to win Precious Moments figurines and a chance to purchase
special Precious Moments merchandise.
The Precious Moments Prepaid Card will be retailed at S$28
per card at all Maybank Branches, selected Precious Thots
outlets (Raffles Place, West Mall, Raffles City, Tampines
Mall, Plaza Singapura, Causeway Point, Suntec City Mall).
All card purchases are entitled win one of two limited-edition
"Love One Another" figurines in the Grand Draw.
